F Taylor Bucchero Bowl
F. TAYLOR is a furniture, object, and interior design studio located in Rome, Italy and Massachusetts, USA, led by F Taylor Colantonio whose first name is legally just the letter F, due to a clerical error on his birth certificate.
Their objects express their ideas, they believe that objects should hearten us, enrich our lives, and strengthen our relationships with the spaces we inhabit.
Made in the USA using a centuries-old American technique for making rugs, the Bucchero Bowl is hand-formed with cable that is woven on cast-iron machines from the 1940s, a finely skilled sculpting process done by expert sewers. This small bowl is an homage to the mystifying black gloss ceramics of the Etruscans, a pre-Roman civilisation known for their artisan traditions.
The smallest in the woven vessel collection, is meant for everyday use – on a desk, or to catch keys in the front hall – but also makes an elegant statement on the mantel.
In etruscan bucchero black cable, a blend of wool and synthetic yarns. It measures Mouth: 25 x 33cm oval (not including handles) and Height 15cm.
