Cire Trudon Spiritus Sancti Scented Candle
Founded in 1643 by a tradesman, Trudon, who began as a greengrocer as well as a wax merchant. His son carried on with the family business to become the royal wax manufacturer in 1719. Cire Trudon prospered as a traditional and prestigious candle maker, now the oldest manufacturer in the world, and each votive is still dripped and made by hand, producing candles of the best quality. Referencing its rich history, the brand creates scents inspired by biblical passages, kings, revolutionaries and Versailles.
Cire Trudon’s ‘Spiritus Sancti’ candle is inspired by the “heady and holy perfume” of cathedral altars. Combines the sweet scent of Lily of the Valley with base accords of Benzoin Resin and Labdanum that emit notes of Vanilla and Amber. The wax is housed in a hand-blown vessel and completed with the brand’s signature gold leaf.
